# Financial Analyst

**Responsibilities**  
This opportunity is for a Financial Analyst to join an existing team providing financial and project management support to a federal agency in Washington, DC. The position will work closely with multiple Defense and Civilian Agency program offices to monitor and analyze project cost and schedules; track contract line items and funding balances; track project milestones and deliverables; report on project performance; and manage invoice processing. Harper Paige is seeking individuals that are energetic, forward-thinking, with excellent communication skills, and strong spreadsheet skills.

- Maintaining project account structures, project financials, and provide related support functions as necessary.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and tracking Task Order (TO) invoices to ensure processing in a uniformed manner and in accordance with TO requirements.
- Utilizing financial management tools/systems to collect, analyze, review and report on project financial data.
- Utilizing financial management tools/systems to monitor overall project health in terms of schedule, cost, risks, and performance.
- Reviewing data to respond to budget calls and to draft financial reports for external stakeholders.
- Conducting detailed analysis and review of projects to ensure contract and financial fiscal compliance.
- Resolving any identified discrepancies and recommend close-out where appropriate.
- Performing audit reviews on contract financials to identify and ensure uncommitted, residual, or excess funds are returned to the applicable agencies.
- Supporting and assisting the client in performing the project audit and end of year functions.
- Providing general support to the client including, but not limited to, analysis, data calls, financial management, risk management, audits, and project management related tasks.
- Education in a financial acumen with excellent written and verbal communication.

**Qualifications**  
- Bachelors Degree.
- 0 – 2 years of financial management experience.
- Clearable (able to pass both a criminal background check and credit check).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to leverage analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
- Experience with federal government contracts is a plus.
- Experience with analysis of direct and indirect rates is a plus.
- Strong ability to manage time and organize priorities within deadlines.
